Your child’s teeth are your responsibility. In order to keep your child’s oral health at its best, consider the following benefits of brushing for kids:

– A healthy, balanced diet is important to oral health.
– When deciding how much toothpaste needs to be used for infants, try to aim for a minute amount, about the size of a grain rice. For small children, use a pea-sized drop.
– Sharing toothbrushes should be avoided. Doing so can spread bacteria to another person, and sharing a toothbrush with your child could put them at an elevated risk for tooth decay and gum disease.
– For an examination and cleaning, bring your child in to see the dentist sometime before they turn one, and after their first tooth has come in.

Make sure to take good care of your child’s teeth and gums so they can last a lifetime.
